Mara SandersMara is a pursuing two masters degrees at Rutgers, MS in Plant Biology and MBS in Global Agriculture. She is passionate about working with under-served communities to utilize traditional and ethnobotanical knowledge to drive international agricultural development. She has undergraduate training in ethnobotany, anthropology, chemistry, botany and international natural resource management. In the NUANPP lab she is working to develop Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) as a marketable crop to support small holder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is also an award winning artist and the web-master of this website.
